Mild if not invisible wood influence frames the restrained, fresh and admirably pure white flower, wet stone and whisper of sea breeze-inflected aromas. There is fine richness to the refined and beautifully detailed medium-bodied flavors that possess excellent intensity and length on the citrus-suffused finish where a touch of lemon rind appears. The acid spine is clearly firmer here than with any of the preceding 1ers and this should reward at least a decade of aging and perhaps even a bit more yet be approachable after only 4 to 5 if that’s your preference.
