Youthful vibrant colour with surprisingly little development. Broad ripeness and violets on the nose. Slight whiff of prunes. Very confident palate hit of ripe, dark red fruits. Really very bumptious. Can’t gainsay this chirpy monster in the prime of health. Not very subtle yet and there is not all that much tannin left but it could give a lot of pleasure to those who like their port to be above all fruity. Jancis Robinson
